Snorkeling x Blue Cave

My boyfriend and I went on this trip to celebrate our anniversary! We were both simply speechless and deeply moved by the mystical scenery that stretched out before us in the dimly lit limestone cave…♪ As soon as we went into the ocean, we even got to see a wild sea turtle—it made for the perfect anniversary memory! Our guide took lots of wonderful photos for us.

This was my second trip to Miyako Island, following last year’s visit, and this time I took a one-day tour that included an exploration of this limestone cave. First, I enjoyed the pleasant breeze while kayaking, and at Pumpkin Hole, I was overwhelmed by the power of nature… From the moment I was picked up until I was seen off, I was deeply moved by the guide’s warm hospitality the entire time.

The sapphire blue of the Blue Cave was absolutely stunning—it was the perfect choice. The sheer grandeur of the Great Dragon Gate as you paddle through it in a kayak is incredible, and you can really soak it all in even in a short amount of time. It’s the best!

First, we boarded a glass-bottom boat to leisurely admire the beautiful coral without getting wet, and then we switched to kayaks and headed toward the spectacular Great Dragon Gate. Finally, we went snorkeling in the Blue Cave, which shone like a sapphire. This short itinerary perfectly captured the charm of Miyako Island’s ocean without missing a beat. Thanks to our guide’s calm and confident guidance, it was such a wonderful experience that I didn’t have a moment to feel anxious.

That sapphire-blue cave was so incredibly beautiful that I literally lost for words lol. It wasn’t just swimming—exploring the rugged rocky areas gave it a real sense of adventure and got me super hyped! The guide was super fun to be around, too—he was the best!
